Our Hollywood Spectra Laser can safely and effectively remove many unwanted brown and red spots on your skin, including sun spots and freckles, that have been caused by years of sun exposure, allowing you to have a more even skin tone.

Treatment usually takes 15 to 30 minutes, depending on the size, color, and depth of the spot, as well as the number of spots to be treated. Most treatments do not require any anesthetic. Red spots can usually be treated in one to two visits. Brown spots may require two to three visits. Broken capillaries or red-colored scars may need multiple treatments.

Acne Scars

The Hollywood Spectra Laser in our Midtown Manhattan MedSpa is a great tool in the fight against acne scars. Best used in conjunction with our Secret RF Microneedling, the Hollywood Spectra Laser will help in a few ways. First, heat generated by the laser works to remove the top layer of your skin where a scar has formed. As this top layer of your scar is blasted off, your skin appears smoother, and the appearance of the scar is less noticeable.

As the scar tissue breaks apart, heat and light from the laser also encourage new, healthy skin cells to grow, a process called collagen neogenesis. Blood flow is drawn to the area by the heat of the laser, and inflammation is reduced as blood vessels in the scar are targeted. Together with Secret RF Microneedling, the scars will start to look less raised, more even, and a smaller appearance.

Melasma

Melasma

Melasma is a common skin problem sometimes caused by hormonal changes or extensive sun exposure.  The brown or gray-brown patches of melasma appear most often on the cheeks, forehead, nose, and chin, and may also occur in men. Another common name for Melasma may be Chloasma, or the “mask of pregnancy".

The Hollywood Spectra Laser's low fluence Q-Switched 1064 wavelength has been shown to be an effective treatment in destroying pigment in the difficult fight against Melasma.

We can safely treat most skin types with Hollywood Spectra
